
University of Ibadan bars graduates from attending the 2021 convocation ceremony. Stating that only first class students are allowed into the hall.
The University of Ibadan (UI) has refused graduates with second class and lower status to attend the convocation ceremony of 2021.

The school has stated that only students with first-class will be allowed to attend the 2021 convocation as to follow the Covid-19 guidelines.
The school management sent a circular to the students, notifying them and their parents not to bother coming for the convocation.
The parents of the first class students will only be allowed into the convocation hall while students with second class and lower are told to go online to participate.
“All graduates are to comply with COVID-19 protocols, including wearing of face masks, physical distancing and use of hand sanitiser.
“All graduates are expected to pay the levies as stipulated whether or not they attend the convocation ceremonies as these will be required at the point of collection of the certificate.”
The University of Ibadan (UI) made the public announcement to all graduates of the school.
