MTN Nigeria reward subscribers airtime, data due to October 9 outage
Few days after WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram went down, The social media giant recovered after a couple of hours. MTN took the same turn by going offline for a few hours on 9th October 2021.

Due to the outage of network downtime. MTN Nigeria reward customers. They has come to the aid of Subscriber by refunding the data used during the outage on Saturday.
This is said to be a way to reward and apologise to the customers for their patience to endure that period of time of MTN outage.

Toriola sent a warm message on the MTN official YouTube channel to apologise for the inconvenience that it may have cost many customers during that time.
A video link was also sent to all customers on the MTN network, apologising for the error in network.

“I know that recently, other technology companies suffered similar outages; I want to reassure you that last Saturday’s event is in no way connected to those outages. This incident was not sabotaged but a regrettable error.”
