Minister of Works and Housing Babatunde Fashola says he has no idea what happened to the video camera he found at the Lekki tollgate following the #EndSARS protests.
Following the Lekki tollgate incident in October 2020, Fashola spotted a hidden camcorder while inspecting the scene with fellow ministers and south-west governors, which he said was put by “some subversive elements.”
Fashola told Arise TV on Sunday that he has no idea what happened to his findings. The minister went on to claim that he should not be the one to address inquiries about the camcorder because he had already given it to the Lagos state administration.
“You should not be asking me. You have the tapes showing that I handed it over to the government of Lagos, so you have all the recordings. I think your people were there. So don’t ask me what happened to the camera. I don’t know.”
