In Alberta, the federal and provincial governments have made a major announcement about child care.
Premier Jason Kenney was joined in Edmonton by federal leaders, including Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland. Trudeau indicated that the federal government will invest a total of $3.8 billion.

“Affordable child care should be available to all families.” That is why, across the country, we are working to make $10–a–day child care a reality. The agreement reached today with Alberta is a significant step in implementing our national early learning and child care system, which will create employment, expand the middle class, and provide our children with the greatest possible start in life.
