The teenage construction worker who narrowly escaped the Ikoyi building collapse, which claimed the lives of nearly 40 people, including the project’s CEO, Femi Osibona.

William told The Guardian in an exclusive interview that he was asleep on the third story of the building when the vibrations that led to the collapse began.
According to the young survivor, he did not jump from the third floor, as some reports said on the day of the collapse; rather, he escaped through the first floor, where he took refuge.
